Introduction of bitumen emulsion RS2
BACCO bitumen emulsion RS-2 is a rapid-setting anionic asphalt emulsion designed to break and cure quickly, destabilizing instantly on contact with aggregate surfaces.
Bitumen Emulsion RS-2 is an anionic water-based emulsified asphalt with high viscosity and fast setting time containing a minimum of 57% bitumen designed for use as a bituminous binder for chip seals. It is chocolate brown in color and is a free-flowing liquid at ambient temperature.

Applications
The main application of RS-2 asphalt emulsion is for surface treatment projects such as:
· Single surface treatment
· Multiple surface treatment
· Sand seal
Also in some cases, RS-2 cures quickly and produces dry asphalt films making it ideal for spray applications such as tack coats, spray patching, sand seals, fog seals, and shoulder maintenance.
Recommended rate of application
Tack Coat RS-2 anionic bitumen emulsion can be used at ambient temperature at the spray rate of 0.25 to 0.70 liter per square meter (0.05 to 0.15 gallon per square yard).
To Ensure Best Result
· Use without diluting Bitumen Emulsion with water
· Use at ambient temperature
· Roll the Bitumen Emulsion drums to and from motion at a distance of a minimum 5-meter
Handling and safety
· Contains petroleum distillate; flammable: keep away from open fire, sparks, or other ignition sources; wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles.
· Fire flammable when wet, flash point 40°C.
· Skin –avoid repeated or prolonged contact, if this occurs remove with hand cleaner that removes oil or grease, then clean with soap and water.
· Eyes contact could cause irritation, if contact occurs flush immediately with clean water.
· Inhalation can cause dizziness, move immediately in fresh air if dizzy and if breathing difficulty persists administer oxygen.
Cleaning
Tools: Clean with kerosene.
Hands: Use a hand cleanser or kerosene followed by soap and water.
